Pitha home made cakes or pie.Many kinds of  pithas are made in Bangladesh. Many kinds of pithas(cake)are made in Bangladesh. They are served on special occasion.Pithas are primarily made from a battar of rice flour,which is shaped and optionally filled with sweet or savory ingredients. When filled, the pitha's pouch is called a khol(lit.''container") and the fillings are called pur.

While some pithas can be made any time of the year in Bengladesh, there are special pithas strongly associate with harvest festivals such as Nabanna. Some of the most common pithas found in Bangladesh like :
